Protect Your Houses of Worship
This course is designed to prepare security team members, staff, and volunteers to recognize, prevent, and respond to potential threats within a House of Worship. Participants will learn how to identify suspicious behavior, understand pre-incident indicators, and apply proactive security measures while maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment.
The class covers real-world scenarios involving attempted attacks, unauthorized entry, and disruptive behavior, with an emphasis on situational awareness, access control, communication, and coordinated response. Students will also receive instruction on legal considerations, use-of-force principles, and teamwork during high-stress incidents.
Through discussion, scenario-based training, and practical strategies, attendees will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to protect congregants, staff, and facilities—without compromising the mission and atmosphere of the House of Worship.
